Actress/Writer Bo Derek breeds Iberian horses on her ranch.  She is also very active in horse welfare as is Singer/Songwriter/Actor Willie Nelson.

Bo has  written a book called: “Riding lessons: everything that matters in life I learned from horses.

Bo, Nelson and others, have among other things, helped put the spotlight on  animal laws and horse slaughter.

Actor Richard Gere and his wife Carey Lovell own four Appaloosas and love to ride them.

Gere is active in the Nez Percé movement and the Indian Tribe were among the first to breed Apaloosas.

Patrick Swayze is in love with Arabian horses, especially his own, Tammen.

Madonna has taken up horseback riding after moving to England with her family. Her husband, Guy Ritchie, has bought her a Welsh Cob.

Madonna took a nasty fall from the horse in 2005, where she broke 2 ribs, a collar-bone and her hand! Ouch!
